Donegal is one of the most naturally
beautiful areas of Ireland. The county consists mainly of
low mountains, with a rugged coastline forming natural
loughs.

famous mountains consist of two major ranges, the Derryveagh
range in the north and the Bluestack Mountains in in the
south, with Mount Errigal which is near the Mountain View
guesthouse, being the highest at 749 metres. The
breathtaking Slieve League cliffs are the second highest sea
cliffs in Europe.
GLENVEAGH NATIONAL PARK
Just ten minutes away from Mountain View is the
Glenveagh
National Park.

Glenveagh National Park sits in the unchanged rugged
north-west of Co. Donegal. It is a hauntingly beautiful
wilderness of soaring mountains and hilltops with several
lakes. The grounds stretch over 14,000 acres and are home to
rare plants and animals, Glenveagh is also noted for its
herd of red deer, which roam freely. |
